Navajo Technical University to host the first of the 2018 Navajo Nation presidential forums
facebook Share on Facebook CROWNPOINT, NM – On Monday, June 18, at 5:45 PM, eighteen candidates will convene in Crownpoint for the first Navajo Nation presidential forum of the 2018 political season. The forum will be open to the public at Navajo Technical University’s Wellness Center and is sponsored by the Navajo Times and KTNN. NTU will be providing a live stream of the event on its website and KTNN will be providing a live remote broadcast.

NTU hosted a presidential forum during the 2014 election, and will assume the responsibility of launching this year’s series of forums. After Crownpoint, the tour will proceed to Ganado, AZ on July 9, Tuba City, AZ on July 23, Shiprock, NM on Aug. 6, and Tsaile, AZ on Aug. 20.  At each forum, a series of questions will be presented to candidates, which they’ll have allotted time to articulate their stance on key issues. 

Doors at the forum will open at approximately 4 PM and the event is expected to end around 9 PM.
