NHA Board of Commissioners announces Frank Dayish, Jr. as the CEO
FORT DEFIANCE, Ariz. - “After an extensive nationwide search, we want to officially welcome Frank Dayish, Jr. as our selection for the Navajo Housing Authority CEO,” said the Board of Commissioners (BOC). “Dayish’s many years of executive experience gave him a deep body of knowledge that allows him to lead and manage successfully with a focus on developing strategic objectives consistent with NHA’s goals and mission.”
The announcement was made during a Regular Called Meeting held at the Construction Services Division in Fort Defiance, Ariz. Dayish is scheduled to begin his assignment on Mar. 2.
Previously, Dayish has served as Navajo Nation Vice-President and CEO for Indian Health Service - Kayenta. His other accomplishments include service in the United States Marine Corps as a Radio Operator. He has held various positions including Contracting Officer for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Supply Supervisor for the Navajo Mine Materials Department. He also served as the Senior Governmental Affairs Representative registered lobbyist for BHP Billiton.
Mr. Dayish was formally educated at San Juan College, where he earned an Associate of Arts Degree and later majoring in Business Administration. He continued his education receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration from New Mexico State University and his Master’s degree in General Administration from the University of Maryland.
