NHA, AECOM receives awards for Flood Study and Hazard Mitigation Alternatives Project

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Navajo Housing Authority was pleased to be recognized, along with AECOM at the New Mexico ACEC 2018 Engineering Excellence Award Gala for its work on a Floodplain Study in Crownpoint, New Mexico, conducted in 2017. The award ceremony was held at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 6 and was attended by NHA Construction Services staff.

Accepting the award on behalf of NHA was Interim Chief Operations Officer Brian Reed, “Congratulations to the project team for the excellent job in making this study a success,” said Reed. “This award signifies the outstanding achievements of NHA regarding its Floodplain Study and the recognition and credibility it is generating among engineering professionals, and I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of NHA.”

The acknowledgment included two awards for a 2017 Flood Study and Hazard Mitigation Alternatives project conducted in Crownpoint, New Mexico. NHA accepted the 2017 Business Achievement Award from the Environmental Business Journal International, Inc., in the category of Technology Merit Monitoring as well as the 2018 Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies – New Mexico Chapter.

The New Mexico ACEC recognized a total of seventeen projects during the awards ceremony.
